UPDATE: Trial date set for Norton man accused of killing 4-year-old son

A jury trial date has been set for a Norton, Virginia man after he entered a not guilty plea in Wise County Circuit Court.

Sean Roberts is accused of killing his 4-year-old son Jacob Nathaniel Roberts in April and seriously injuring his wife in an assault at their home downtown.

He was brought back to Virginia after police said he fled to Kentucky shortly after the attack. Roberts’ trial is scheduled to begin on Sept. 12th.
