Vaccine clinics for Virginia students available through August

The health districts that serve seven counties in Southwest Virginia are offering vaccine clinics for parents who will send their children back to school next month.

Those will include Diptheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis vaccines that are required for incoming 7th graders. Clinic sessions will be held beginning July 19 in Wise County, Aug 1 in Dickenson and Lee Co, Aug 7 in Buchanan, Russell, and Scott Co, and Aug 10 in Tazewell Co.

Appointments are required along with the child’s current vaccine record and proof of insurance.
