Virginia AG Miyares Speaks At Recovery Center In Abingdon, Funded By Opioid Settlement Funds

Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares has finalized more than 500 million dollars in opioid settlements so far. And on Thursday Miyares visited Abingdon to participate in the first ever grant award totaling more than 115 thousand dollars. Miyares then participated in a ribbon cutting for Mended Women Lifestyle Recovery Center funded with those monies. There are not such facilities within 150 miles. Residents will have 24 hour staff support in an environment designed for healing and recovery.
