VSP: Woman kidnapped in North Carolina saved by trooper at Bristol’s Exit 7
A North Carolina woman that police said was abducted Thursday morning by four individuals in Fayetteville was rescued by a Virginia State Trooper in Bristol.
An agency statement said the officer initiated a traffic stop on a SUV on Interstate 81 and then at a gas station in the Exit 7 area.
The officer then recovered 18-year-old Tristan Cochran while additional officers took the four men into custody. Fayetteville police said the case remains open and charges are pending.
