Washington County TN Schools suspend substitute teacher, investigation underway

Washington County TN Schools Superintendent Jerry Boyd said a substitute teacher has been suspended following an alleged incident at Jonesborough Elementary School. Two parents called the school district Thursday afternoon with information about the alleged incident, and an investigation was started. Boyd said due to the allegations, the substitute teacher has been suspended from working in the school system and removed from the substitute teacher list. The Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Office has also started an investigation.
