Water main rupture floods Rogersville assisted living center
An assisted living center in Rogersville was evacuated Thursday morning after the facility was flooded causing a structure collapse.
The report from the Hawkins County Rescue Squad said multiple EMS agencies were called to Signature Lifestyles on East Main Street just after 8 am. According to the statement, the center experienced a main water line rupture resulting in extensive flooding and portions of the ceiling falling apart.
One person was treated on scene for minor injuries. All Signature residents were evacuated and taken to a local church. A plan is being formed for temporary housing.
