Wise County School Board holds first meeting with “public Comment” since coach Travis Turner went missing

The Wise County School Board is set to meet Monday as Union High School Head Football Coach Travis Turner remains missing and is considered a fugitive after disappearing into the woods after learning VSP investigators were on the way to his residence to interview him as part of an investigation involving a juvenile. This meeting will be the first meeting that will allow public comment since Turner went missing as public comment was removed from the board’s December meeting. Turner remains missing and is wanted by the Virginia State Police on five counts of possession of child pornography and five counts of using a computer to solicit a minor. The meeting is scheduled for Monday at 6 p.m.
