5 injured in Friday night I-81 crash in Bristol

The Bristol Virginia Fire Department reports that several people were injured Friday night in a crash on Interstate 81. A release from the department Sunday said the multi-vehicle crash was reported on I-81 near mile marker 6.3 at around 9:47 p.m. A total of 4 vehicles were involved in the crash, with 5 patients who had sustained injuries ranging from minor to severe. All were transported to Bristol Regional Medical Center. The crash was cleared and the roadway reopened after approximately two hours and a half hours.
