53rd annual National Storytelling Festival this weekend in Jonesborough
The tents are up and the stage is set in Tennessee’s oldest town. The 53rd annual National Storytelling Festival is officially underway this weekend in historic Jonesborough. From now through Sunday, October 4th, nearly ten thousand listeners from across the globe are expected to gather under giant circus-style tents. Organized by the International Storytelling Center, this year’s lineup features dozens of world-class performers spinning everything from traditional Appalachian folktales to eerie midnight ghost stories. If you can’t make the drive to Washington County in person, a free virtual livestream option is also available online.
