JC woman facing multiple charges including reckless homicide

A Johnson City woman has been charged with reckless homicide and several other charges after the death of a child in October 2023. Johnson City Police Department say 25 year old Jasmine Bell was charged with Reckless homicide, aggravated child abuse, filing a false police report and tampering with evidence. The charges come from an incident that happened in October 2023 in which the JCPD responded to a medical call about an infant not breathing resulting in the child’s death. An investigation led to a recent grand jury presentment and ultimate indictment against Bell. Bell was arrested on Tuesday.
