Scott County Sheriff’s Office investigating damaged fiber optic cable
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help after someone damaged a fiber optic cable in the Waters Edge area. The sheriff’s office believes the cable was cut intentionally Monday evening. The damage is estimated at $10,000, disrupting access to emergency services and is considered an extremely serious offense. The fiber optic cable belonged to the local telephone company. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office or submit a tip online.
