Tusculum University student killed in Friday evening crash
A Tusculum University student was killed in a crash Friday evening. A THP report said a Honda Pilot was traveling westbound on Old Tusculum Road at around 6:10 p.m., when it went off the right side of the road, eventually striking a tree. The passenger, 19 year old Payton Cook, of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada, was killed in the crash. Cook was a member of the men’s lacrosse team. A memorial service will be held Monday night at 5 p.m. in Pioneer Arena. Four other students were injured in the crash, but their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
