Man arrested for attempted burglary in Unicoi County after getting caught on camera

Unicoi County Sheriff Mike Hensley said in a social media post that a home surveillance camera was a key tool in apprehending a suspect after an attempted burglary Saturday night. The homeowner reportedly witnessed the suspect attempting to burglarize the home and called 911. The suspect fled on foot before officers arrived. Hensley said the homeowner’s surveillance camera recorded the suspect, and the homeowner was able to post the photos to social media, where “he was immediately identified.” Officers located the suspect, and he was arrested for attempted burglary.
