Stoney Creek man accused in case of 2021 overdose death

A Carter County case bound over to a grand jury earlier this month has resulted in a murder indictment connected to a 2021 overdose death.

Darrell Lewis, 53, of Stoney Creek is accused of selling narcotics to the 39-year-old victim who was found dead in Hampton. Lewis is charged with second degree murder.

A warning by Sheriff Mike Fraley in the statement links the incident to a supply of fentanyl.
