Poll: Need for strict gun laws has high support in Virginia
From the viewpoint of 800 Virginia residents polled, they want gun laws to be strict, they are in favor of the Democrats plan for a redistricting referendum and more than half disapprove of President Trump and his job performance.
A Roanoke College poll showed 71 percent want stronger gun regulations but most of those responding are skeptical anything will be accomplished while 51 percent account mass shootings to poor mental health care.
President Trump’s disapproval rating stands at 61 percent; in his first term, his numbers were in the low 50s. Trump is also viewed as a criminal by 30 percent of those questioned.
