Big South Conference Championship set to begin in Johnson City
Work is being done to transform Freedom Hall for the Big South Conference Championship. The second year the event has been held in Johnson City. The event is expected to have a big economic impact on the area. The tournament generated nearly $6 million in direct visitor spending last year. Officials are still looking for volunteers to come help with the championship. Those who are interested can contact the Johnson City Visitors Center for more information. The first game of the Big South Conference Championship will be Wednesday night at 5:30.
