JCPD investigating armed robbery

Johnson City Police are investigating a robbery that happened on April 27, shortly before 7 p.m. Officers responded to a reported robbery in a parking lot located at 920 N. State of Franklin Road. The preliminary investigation indicates the victim had arranged to meet an individual in the parking lot to conduct an exchange facilitated through an online marketplace. During the meeting, two armed suspects robbed the individual. Investigators believe this was a targeted incident, and the case remains under investigation by the JCPD.
