VA Farm Recovery Block Grant Program has been reopened
The Commonwealth’s ‘Virginia Farm Recovery Block Grant Program’ has been reopened by the state to provide direct financial assistance to eligible producers and timber owners. The program was first initiated back in 2025 and received more than 500 applicants. The grants are provided through the USDA’s disaster assistance, authorized by the American Relief Act. The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will hold an in-person training session at 10 a.m., May 1 at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon.
