Hard Rock Hotel & Casino workers vote to form union

Workers at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Bristol, VA have voted to form a union to earn collective bargaining. In order to form the union under Teamsters Local 519, an election was held for workers to vote. The process was monitored by the National Labor Relations Board and once the NLRB certifies the election, bargaining surveys with employees will happen, to prepare for negotiations with Hard Rock. WJHL received a statement from Hard Rock Hotel and Casino President, Allie Evangelista, saying “Our focus remains on supporting our team members and respecting their rights, and we are working to confirm details. We’ll share updates, if appropriate.”
