Sullivan County budget finalized

A week after the Sullivan County Commission rejected the Board of Educations budget proposal, the Board of Education decided to send it back. By sending the same budget, under the Financial Act, the budget will then revert to the previous years budget. During last week’s county commission meeting, commissioners expressed concern for the school board’s reliance on its fund balance. The new fiscal year started on July 1.
