Tuesday is deadline to register to vote in TN upcoming elections

Tuesday is the deadline to register to vote in Tennessee’s August 6 primary and general elections. Primary elections will be held for governor, Congress, and the General Assembly, and general elections will be held for vacant state judicial offices and applicable county offices. Early voting will run July 17 through Aug. 1. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is July 27.
