Clueless vandal admits to spray-painting Greeneville mural

A clueless suspect was charged in Greeneville after the investigation into graffiti painted on the walls of a just concluded mural project in Church Square.

Brhenon Hickman told officers he didn’t know why he spray painted over the portraits of history-making women from the city or what the mural represented.

Hickman was charged with felony vandalism while inside the Greene County Detention Center on unrelated charges.

“…Brhenon admitted to spray painting the mural and the wall at the intersection of Church and Bernard. Brhenon stated that he did not know why he
vandalized the wall and denied knowing what the mural represented,” said the arresting officer’s statement in Hickman’s incident report with police.

The Greeneville High students returned to the corner last week and made repairs to their project by painting over the markings made by the suspect.
