Man arrested in Chilhowie in connection to NC homicide
A fugitive of North Carolina was arrested in Chilhowie Thursday in connection to a homicide investigation in Burke County North Carolina. Smyth County authorities were contacted Tuesday by the North Carolina Bureau of Investigation. Troy Allen Deese of Catawba County North Carolina was at a residence in the Town of Chilhowie. A search warrant was executed and Deese was arrested as a fugitive from justice. Deese is charged in North Carolina with destroying human remains to conceal a death. Selena Breeden was also in the home. Breeden was taken into custody on an active narcotics warrant from Roanoke. Both Deese and Breeden are being held at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon.
