Two local broadcasters honored at Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame ceremony

Two titans of Tri-Cities radio were honored over the weekend at the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame ceremony in Franklin.

Bobby Rader accepted his entry into the special group. He currently serves as news director at Radio Greeneville and has worked in the market for more than 30 years.

The organization also announced the creation of a new fund for college broadcasting students called the George Devault Scholarship. The honor is named for the retired president of Holston Valley Broadcasting who started his radio career at the age of 14 and has been one of the voices of the University of Tennessee’s Vol Network.
