Johnson City driver cited for loud muffler, stolen gun, and marijuana possession
A Washington County report says a loud muffler on a vehicle headed down Apache Drive in Johnson City caught the attention of a deputy.
It led to the arrest of Tyrone Jackson, 40, of Bristol, Virginia, after the officer smelled marijuana and the discovery of an empty stolen handgun.
He was cited for the muffler but also arrested for charges of unlawful possession of a weapon, concealing stolen property, and driving with a revoked license. Jackson also has outstanding warrants in Sullivan County and Bristol.
