Details released in Erwin road rage death

One person died after an alleged road rage incident escalated to a shooting in Erwin. The shooting happened just after 9 a.m. on Friday. The Erwin Police Department arrived to the 200 block of Ohio Avenue to find a man on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim, identified as 68 year old, Walter Lee Tester, of Unicoi, later died at the hospital. 64 year old, Timothy Robert Parker, of Erwin, was arrested later in the day and charged with second-degree murder. Parker is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 15 at 9 a.m.
