Bomb threat at JCMC prompts large police response Wednesday night
The Johnson City Police Department says that an bomb threat prompted a heavy law enforcement response to the Johnson City Medical Center Wednesday night. Medical center staff reported to police that a patient allegedly made a threat about “having a bomb in his vehicle.” Officers and Johnson City Fire Department staff blocked off the parking lot at the hospital and the Jonesborough Police Department carried out a K-9 search. Police also physically searched a vehicle and found no devices. The incident remains under investigation.
