Parent finding illegal messaging on child’s phone leads to charges against Michigan resident
A parent checking the contents of their child’s cell phone has landed a Michigan man behind bars after tracing illegal messaging back to his property.
Hunter James Brenner, 28, is accused of sharing inappropriate messages and content with a juvenile residing in Washington County, Virginia, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Brenner was taken into custody by officers in Allegen County and served warrants on charges of use of communication systems for crimes against children and taking indecent liberties with juveniles—a total of 12 violations. He remains in a Michigan jail and was issued a $50,000 bond.
