Car enthusiasts enjoy Slammedenuff at BMS
A major shift for East Tennessee car culture this past weekend, as the Slammedenuff automotive show made its official return—but in a completely new venue. Following last October’s chaotic weekend in Sevierville—where reckless street behavior and public safety concerns forced city officials to ban the show and cancel its final day—organizers moved the official 2026 event to Bristol Motor Speedway. While a heavy police presence watched over smaller, unofficial meetups that still lingered in the Pigeon Forge area, Bristol’s controlled racetrack venue provided a stark contrast to last year’s street gridlock, offering a much more secure and structured weekend for car enthusiasts.
