Johnson City man jailed on 43 child sex charges
A Johnson City man already behind bars was served 42 additional warrants by Bristol Virginia police as part of a child sex investigation.
A city report said an independent network called Predator Poachers, volunteers who work online to find suspects exploiting children, contacted them to report Billy Collins, 55, who allegedly talked online with a person they thought was a 13-year-old girl to set up a date to have sex.
Collins’ initial arrest on one charge of use of communication to solicit children was in August. After investigators had Collins’ cell phone examined, police then charged him with 42 counts of possession of child porn.
Collins remains in jail without bond.
