Spanberger invites uninsured to find Virginia Premium Savings Program
Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger said a briefing in Norfolk that President Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ caused thousands to lose healthcare coverage, putting lives at risk.
“(The bill) that was passed in this congress that our president signed into law is causing, potentially, hundreds of thousands of Virginians to lose their health care altogether,” Spanberger said as federal subsidies to fund those health programs expired.
The governor made the claim while announcing the open enrollment on the state’s marketplace opens November 1st with the help of a $150 million budget item passed by the General Assembly to help more than 200,000 Virginians achieve lower medical premiums up to 90 percent. The enrollment deadline is January 29th.
