Break-in suspect admits to taking items from vehicle at Abingdon business
Almost $3,200 in personal belongings have been returned to their owners after a vehicle break-in at Rise Dispensaries on Route 677 in Abingdon.
A county report said a cell phone taken from the vehicle was traced to a storage unit facility where officers spotted an SUV that was shown on the business’ security footage at the time of the incident. Travis Hall, 46, of Bristol, Virginia, was identified as the suspect and admitted to the crime by leading deputies to the storage unit where he had hidden the stolen items.
Hall is charged with grand larceny and destruction of property.
