Sheriff’s statement concludes TBI review for deputy over with no criminal findings

A TBI investigation of a Washington County, Tennessee deputy ordered by District Attorney Steve Finney has concluded with the officer being cleared of any charges.

Sheriff Keith Sexton announced the review last month involving an unnamed deputy and an unspecified incident that could not be discussed under agency personnel policy.

Finney informed the sheriff of the review’s conclusion Tuesday with no criminal charges to be filed, according to a department statement, and the deputy has been cleared to return to duty.
