A pedestrian died Wednesday a day after being hit by a car outside a supermarket. Jonesborough Police say that 79 year old Vickey Broyles died of injuries sustained in the accident that happened around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at 500 Forest Drive. The accident report says that a truck was stopped at a stop sign on Forest Drive facing the Food City store. The driver turned left onto a separate section of Forest Drive and hit Broyles, who was crossing the parking lot after leaving the store. Broyles was taken to Johnson City Medical Center with what was described as an incapacitating injury.
