Ballad Health and UnitedHealthcare finalize new agreement
Ballad Health and UnitedHealthcare have finalized a new, multi-year network agreement, avoiding what could have been a disruptive lapse in medical coverage for thousands of residents across the region. The newly signed deal guarantees that anyone enrolled in UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare Advantage individual and Group Retiree plans will maintain uninterrupted, in-network access to all Ballad Health hospitals, physicians, and care facilities. According to company officials, the renewed partnership will place a heavy focus on value-based care measures. In a statement, Ballad Health CEO Alan Levine emphasized the system’s commitment to responsible partnerships, saying this deal ensures seniors can continue to see the doctors they already know and trust.
