Boone Lake 4th of July event previously cancelled, back on at new location

A 4th of July event on Boone Lake that organizers had previously said was canceled is back on at a new location. Organizers of the annual “America’s Bash” announced in May that the event had been canceled due to Boone Lake’s lower-than-usual water levels caused by drought. Earlier this week, organizers posted on social media and said the event would now move forward at a new spot. The post said that this years event will be held at Whisper, a golf cart dealer on Eddie Williams Road in Johnson City, to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. Country stars Lee Brice and Randy Howser are scheduled to perform at the July 4th event with tickets becoming available Friday Morning.
