Bristol firefighters respond quickly to multiple calls after July 4 storm

The Bristol Virginia Professional Firefighters Association said Sunday morning that after a bout with severe thunderstorms the night before, it responded to more than 30 weather-related calls. Those calls included removing trees from roadways, Fire alarms, possible water rescues, downed power lines and more. The storms began quickly as the city was preparing for its Fourth of July fireworks at Anderson Park. Fireworks were rescheduled for Sunday night and went off without any issues.
