Bristol TN to look at rezoning request on King College Rd
The Bristol Tennessee Municipal Regional Planning Commission is considering a 153-acre rezone for future development on King College Rd. The owner of the property has applied to rezone the property from R-1A Single Family Residential and R-2 Single Family and Duplex Residential to PRD Planned Residential Development. Letters were sent to residents within 200 feet of the bordered property by the City of Bristol, Tennessee in early March to inform residents of the proposed rezoning of the 153 acres for higher occupancy. A rezoning application would need to be approved first by the city council to begin an impact study as the first part of the process. The Bristol Tennessee Municipal Regional Planning Commission will meet Monday, March 23 at 5:00 p.m. to either vote for or against the proposal. If approved, the city council will host a preliminary vote for first reading of the ordinance on Tuesday, April 7 and a final vote for second reading would follow in early May.
