Bristol VA PD make arrest 2 individuals for armed robbery
The Bristol Virginia Police Department has arrested two individuals following an investigation into an armed robbery that occurred on May 5, 2026. Officers responded to a report of a robbery involving a firearm. The victim reported he had arranged to meet an individual at a residence on Bradley Street after communicating through social media. Upon arrival, the victim was approached by a masked suspect who displayed a firearm and demanded his belongings. An investigation led to the execution of search warrants at the residence and a vehicle associated with the incident. During the search, officers recovered firearms, ammunition, suspected narcotics, and property believed to be connected to the robbery. 41 year old Gregory Wheeler Jr. of Bristol, Virginia, was arrested on May 5, 2026 and charged faces multiple charges including felony robbery and possesion of a firearm by a convicted felon. 34 year old Teela N. Irick of Bristol, Virginia, was arrested on May 5 in connection to the incident and faces charges including felony robbery with addition charges filed on May 7. Both are being housed in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon without bond.
