Bristol VA/TN look at new ordinances for recreational substance shops
The Bristol, Tennessee City Council discussed an ordinance that would put restrictions on where recreational substance shops can be located at a workshop on Tuesday. The ordinance says new businesses that fall under the definition of a recreational substance store will not be able to locate within 1,000 feet of a public park, school or church. A similar ordinance is also being considered by the Bristol, Virginia City Council and would also limit how close a recreational substance shop can be to schools and daycares.
