DEVELOPING: Crews battling fire at Carter County Landfill

Multiple Carter County Fire Departments have responded to the Carter County Landfill Thursday morning regarding a fire. Fire officials say that crews were on scene as of 6 a.m. setting up a water shuttle to fight the blaze and so far no injuries have been reported. The Watauga Volunteer Fire Department is the primary department overseeing the on site operations. This is a developing story.
