Family identify Rogersville couple lost in Friday fire

A Hawkins County couple that died in a Friday house fire have been identified by published accounts from family members on social media including a GoFundMe site that is raising money to help the family with funeral expenses.

The bodies of Jimmy and Lena Bruner were recovered following the blaze that leveled the home on Cave Springs Road in Rogersville.

Fire officials said the house was fully engulfed when they arrived at the scene. The TBI is assisting local investigators to determine the cause.

The GoFundMe page has received donations of more than $10,000 since it was created over the weekend.
