Fatality reported after tractor crash
An East Tennessee man was killed after his tractor became unstable near an embankment.
A preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol said Steven Dorland, 69, was onboard an antique 1940s machine and backing up when it slid off the bank, rolled down and came to a stop against a tree.
Dorland suffered fatal injuries when he was ejected from the tractor and was then pinned underneath one of the tractor’s wheels. The incident remains under investigation.
