FEMA allocates grants for SWVA counties to repair roads damaged in 2025
Nearly $1.6 million in grants will go to two Southwest Virginia counties to repair roads damaged by extreme weather in early 2025. FEMA awarded more than $1.4 million for road restoration projects in Dickenson County and $163,925 for asphalt road surface repair and replacement in Buchanan County. The funds will be obligated to the Commonwealth of Virginia, which will be responsible for providing the money to the sub-recipients.
