Former Dallas Cowboys star Jason Witten inductee for ’26 TN Sport Hall of Fame

Elizabethton native Jason Witten has been named an inductee for the 2026 Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. Whitten was the 2012 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award winner, recognizing his commitment to community service. The former Cyclone and Volunteer star played 17 NFL seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. Whitten was selected to 11 pro-bowls and became the Cowboys’ all time leader in receptions and games played during his NFL career, finishing with more than 1,200 receptions and 13,000 receiving yards in the NFL.
