Former Pratt’s BBQ property in Kingsport could become gas station

The former Pratt’s BBQ property on East Stone Drive in Kingsport could soon become a gas station. Plans submitted to the city by Murphy Oil USA is asking the Kingsport Board of Zoning Appeals to approve a deviation related to a dumpster enclosure and variances for required landscape buffers. Pratt’s closed in the summer of 2024. The Board of Zoning Appeals will consider the request at its next meeting Thursday at noon at City Hall.
