Grand Funk Railroad headlines 2026 Red White & Boom celebration in Kingsport

Rock icons Grand Funk Railroad were tapped for top billing at the 2026 Red White & Boom Independence Day Celebration on Main Street in downtown Kingsport on July 4th.

Grand Funk had eight top-10 albums in the US in the late 60s and early 70s along with two number one singles, “The Loco Motion” & “We’re an American Band.” Kingsport is one of 23 stops on Grand Funk’s 2026 tour.

Other attractions will include a court of food trucks and a hot dog eating contest. The Visit Kingsport organization said additions to the musical lineup will be added in the coming weeks.
