Gun manufacturing plant to locate in Johnson County

Two gun companies are partnering to bring a gun manufacturing plant to Johnson County. European American Armory Corporation and One Horse plan to partner to bring a machining center to produce gun parts. The Johnson County Economic and Community Development Board heard the proposal Monday afternoon. Johnson County Mayor Larry Potter says that the partnership is a positive thing for the county, noting that the new partnership could bring other businesses to the area along with good paying jobs. Officials say the plant should be open in nine months to a year.
