Hawkins County Sheriff releases name of Friday shooting victim

On November 7 at around 4:00 PM, the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of shots fired in the Christians Bend Road area near Ensor Road. Sheriff’s Deputies located an adult male, now identified as 55 year old Steven R. Ball age who was deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. After securing the scene and interviewing witnesses, A person of interest was identified and located. the investigation is continuing.
