Hit and run incident in Hiltons that killed Kingsport man under investigation

Virginia State Police officials are in search of a hit and run suspect who left the scene of a fatal collision in Scott County.

An agency report said Michael Vicars, 45, of Kingsport, was found dead in the eastbound lane of the 2900 block of Bristol Highway in the Hiltons area.

Their estimates had the crash occurring between 3 and 4 a.m. Monday morning. Any details on the incident can be reported to local officials or to State Police investigators.
